Successfully held as a one-day event, the Career Fair 2025 aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by showcasing current employment trends and industry demands to students. The event attracted participation from 40 companies, offering MMU students a valuable platform to explore career opportunities, understand in-demand skills, and engage with potential employers.
Organised by a student committee with the support of Career Connect and TalentBank, the event was officiated by MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, who emphasised the importance of such initiatives in preparing students for the competitive job market.
The event was attended by more than 1,700 students and they were given the chance to engage in meaningful conversations with industry representatives, attend walk-in interviews, and gain firsthand insights into various career paths. The fair also served as a platform for students to enhance their soft skills, build confidence, and expand their professional networks.
Among the distinguished guests at the opening ceremony were Mr. Ben Ho, CEO of Talentbank, Prof. Dr. Wong Eng Kiong, Vice President of Student Experience & Entrepreneurship Development, and other MMU Management Committees. The event underscored the university’s continued commitment to equipping its students with the tools and exposure needed to thrive in today’s ever-evolving job landscape.
